# Studio settings

> Rename the active studio and find its ID, from Studio Management.

**Studio Management** holds the settings for whichever studio is active. It's **admin-only** — it
appears in the menu for admins, and only an admin can change a studio's settings.

## Choosing which studio to manage

The page always acts on your **active** studio, shown at the top with the same switcher you'll
find in the sidebar. Switch there to manage a different studio, or use **Create Studio** to spin
up a new workspace (covered in [Create your studio](/qwacks/create-studio)).

## Studio details

This is where an admin renames the studio — the name that labels your workspace across every
Qwacks app — and where you'll find the **Studio ID**. That ID is the studio's permanent
identifier: it doesn't change when you rename, it's what support will ask for, and it's the value
the apps use behind the scenes to scope your data.

<Note>
  Renaming is an admin action. If your role can't manage the studio, you won't see Studio
  Management in the menu in the first place.
